Blake

To see a world in a grain of sand, And a heaven in a wild flower, Hold infinity in the palm of your hand, And eternity in an hour. William Blake, from "Auguries of Innocence"

We Are Not Alone

Yesterday was a big day for seeing exciting things. On the front porch a Mama bear with three cubs, a true exception for bears, came up to check out the bird feeder and you got to see them right through the window. Later, you got to see a magnificent 12-point buck with two other smaller male deer, which you nicknamed the tres amigos with Dale. Finally, you got see a herd of elk, that you first spotted. Although there are not many other people around, you have learned that when you are in the natural world, we are not alone on this planet.
